2016 Bottle Drive...

Our apprentice classes volunteer to collect bottles and cans throughout 2016. This is an annual community giveback event that our apprentices are involved with. The proceeds collected are donated to help local community needs including the Rescue Mission to help feed the hungry.

Earn while you learn

An apprenticeship combines on-the-job and classroom training. Allowing you, as an apprentice, to actually earn while you learn. As an apprentice, you will work year-round for local electrical contractors, and attend classroom sessions during the academic year. As you learn by doing, you are paid directly by the contractor employing you.

Quick Facts

Can I take the ETA/AIR Aptitude test more than one time?

The only time you would retake the ETA/AIR Aptitude test is if you do not at first qualify for the oral interview by achieving a score of five (5) or above on a stanine scale. You will not be eligible to re-test for a period of six (6) months from the previous test date. Qualifying test scores are accepted for a period of two (2) years. If you re-apply after that time period you will be scheduled to retake the test.

Is experience necessary to apply for apprenticeship?

No experience in the electrical field is required to apply for apprenticeship. The Central New York ETA provides training with a combination of classroom and on-the-job training.
